Although details are still under wraps, persistent rumors have it that former Lost star Michelle Rodriguez will make a return appearance in the show’s final season.

When Red Carpet’s Christian Vera interviewed her, Rodriguez replied, “Yes, I am. I may pop in for a little cameo or two. Some people out there like Ana Lucia.”

Portraying tough LAPD police officer Ana Lucia Cortez in Lost, 5’5” Mayte Michelle Rodriguez (born July 12, 1978) is a Latin-American actress who appeared in 25 episodes of Lost in 2005 and 2006 and 2009. Her character was shot and killed by Michael in season 2. There are some reports that this was due to being arrested for driving under the influence of liquor in Hawaii for which she spent five days in jail near the end of 2006. Then, she was again in hot water for violating her parole. She returned, though, in season 5 in one of Hurley’s recurring visions.

Characteristic of the “flash-sideways” occurrences in the series, it would not be inconceivable she would be “resurrected” the same way she did in season 5, with Hurley still hallucinating for all he is worth. It may also be worth a time-warp or dream sequence in any of the final episodes.

Rodriguez is the latest of Lost denizens returning to guest-star this season. The others are Maggie Grace, Harold Perrineau, Cynthia Watros, and Rebecca Mader.

It seems Rodriguez is behaving herself these days and her legal troubles are behind her. She has recently appeared in the blockbuster movie “Avatar”. She is also slated to appear in the upcoming film Machete by Robert Rodriguez.
