Back in 1977, Roger, Ben’s father, begins to suspect Kate in Ben’s disappearance. Miles is given the order to take a body from the construction site of the Swan Station, to his father, Dr. Chang.

In flashbacks, Miles learns of his ability to speak with the dead and is hired to travel to the island on the freighter. When they drop off Dr. Chang, Hurley realizes that the Dharma Initiative are currently building the hatch that will one day crash Oceanic 815. Meanwhile, Dr. Chang gets a call and he has Miles drive him to the docks to meet some arriving Dharma scientists. One of them is Daniel Faraday.
