In 1977, Sawyer and Juliet arrange for Kate, Jack and Hurley to appear as part of a new batch of recruits. Each is assigned a job and living space.

Jin finds Sayid who is forced to pretend he is an Other and is subsequently imprisoned by Dharma. Meanwhile, in 2007, following the crash of Flight 316, Sun and Frank learn from Christian Shephard that the other survivors are trapped in the past. Meanwhile, Jack confronts Sawyer after finding out that he and Juliet have become a couple. Jack is anxious to do something, but Sawyer insists that it’s better to think things through.
