Season 2
Season 2 of ‘Lost’ began on September 21 2005, again airing Wednesdays at 9:00 pm in the US as well as in Canada. This series had a total of 23 episodes. The core agenda of the series is the clash of ideologies between the survivors and the “Others”; while the survivors opine their scientific perspectives, the “Others” are hell bent on the age old faith that they have followed and obeyed all these years.
Over time, some mysteries get resolved while others crop up. Fresh characters are introduced during the series, including survivors of the tail portion of the aero plane as well as other inhabitants of the island. Ancient mythologies of the island are revealed as also the past lives of many of the survivors. Also revealed is the DHARMA initiative as well as its prime beneficiary, the Hanso Foundation. More is known about the “Others”, over the course of the series. The cause of the crash also becomes known, when one of the survivors betrays all the others.
