Season 3
There were 22 episodes in this series, including a two-part, double-length episode, which were aired on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm, in the US and in Canada. The series commenced on October 4 2006. After a brief period of inactivity during which the series was withdrawn, it resumed on February 7, 2007, this time airing at 10:00 pm, in the US and in Canada.
With this series, it is now 67 days since the plane crash. This time, even more crash survivors are introduced as are more of the “Others”. The survivors also gather more insights into the “Others” history on the island. Interestingly, there is an exchange of personnel between both the camps, with one person from each side defecting to the other. There is also a new island inhabitant that joins the survivors. Eventually things escalate to a full-fledged war between the “Others” and the survivors, in the midst of which, the survivors manage to establish contact with a rescue team.
